Hi! I’m a doctoral researcher in Communication Studies at the University of Salzburg in Austria. I'm interested in the algorithms, affordances and architecture of digital platforms. My doctoral thesis investigates how social media platforms deal with problematic content by algorithmically hiding it, instead of deleting it. I also research collaboratively with my colleagues on how conspiracy theory movements spread across platforms. I previously worked at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) on Algorithms, Automation and Accountability. I'm the lead student rep for the Doctoral Programme in Social Sciences at the University of Salzburg and a member of the TikTok Cultures Research Network.

Hi! Ich bin Doktorandin der Kommunikationswissenschaft an der Paris-Lodron-Universität Salzburg. Ich interessiere mich für die Algorithmen, Affordanzen und Architektur digitaler Plattformen. In meiner Doktorarbeit geht es darum, wie Social-Media-Plattformen problematische Inhalte durch Algorithmen verstecken, statt sie zu löschen. Gemeinsam mit meinen Kolleg:innen forsche ich auch zur Verbreitung von Verschwörungstheorien auf Plattformen. Vorher war ich an der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften (ÖAW) im Themenbereich Algorithms, Automation and Accountability tätig. Ich bin Vorsitzende der Studienvertretung Doktoratsstudium an der Gesellschaftwissenschaftlichen Fakultät an der Universität Salzburg und Mitglied des TikTok Cultures Research Network.
